Shrewsbury Flower Club celebrates its 65th Birthday at Dorrington Village Hall on Wednesday 7th June 1 30pm

93 members, friends and guests including Amanda Thorn, High Sheriff of Shrewsbury had a wonderful afternoon with a floral demonstration by Jackie Charnock and Jane Pugh, followed by a talk by Howard Franklin on ‘how it all began by Murial Tipton’

Platinum Jubilee Lunch at Dorrington Village Hall

Monday 16th May 2022, 11am arrival. 96 guests were offered tea and coffee with homemade pastries by Anne Flint. The Severn Recorders played for an hour between 10 30 and 11 30am. They played the Elizabethan Serenade while the Lieutenant Mrs Anna Turner arrived. At 11 30am there was a stunning demonstration by Howard Franklin. Margaret Thrower did a superb and heart felt vote of thanks. Delicious Three course lunch by Jennys Catering. Mrs Anna Turner did the Loyal Toast after Jane Pugh sang the National Anthem. It was a wonderful celebration of Her Majesty’s 70 years on the throne.

Mercia and North Wales Area organised a day of nostalgia

“Those were the days” 1940s style – a tremendous day of entertainment with two floral demonstrations by Jane Pugh and Jackie Jones. Wendy Davies presented her Hats with wonderful tales. A delicious lunch followed by the hilarious due comedy act ‘Dandy’. A great time was had by all.
