A lovely evening with Diana Scott. Diana was awarded an MBE in 2011 for services to the community. Through her membership of Stone Flower Club over many years she raised more than £50,000 for various good causes both local and national charities such as Children in Need and Staffordshire Air Ambulance. A remarkable lady, here is just a couple of Diana’s beautiful arrangements.
In February we welcomed David Rylands, national demonstrator and past Chelsea Flower Show gold medal winner, who demonstrated pleasant surprises a plenty. He had many ideas including how to make an old boot and piece of plastic look fabulous.
Two ladies who clearly have the NAFAS spirit with lots of fun & friendship. We had a very entertaining evening with Patti Dawson and Kate Russell, and everything bar the kitchen sink!
Shrewsbury Flower Club had a wonderful evening at their Christmas Gala with Jane Pugh, Area Demonstrator and Setsuko Watanabe. A great double act and Jane showed just what a true professional can do with a few flowers. Jane is an excellent speaker and entertainer; she put us all in the mood for Christmas and Jane and Setsuko made the evening one of our best.
Seveern! All Out! Well we scored our demonstrator for the evening, Sarah Fenton from Telford, a 10. No dance off this week – absolutely fab-u-lous Darhling! Come back and join us next month!
(apologies for the school stage background blobs in one or two of the pictures, they are not part of Sarah’s presentation!)
At the September meeting we welcomed Margaret Rumens a qualified NAFAS National Demonstrator, Teaching Coach, National Judge, and an Area Speaker. . Her demonstration was entitled “Summer Wine”. As we all enjoy possibly the last of the good weather, Club members and visitors enjoyed watching Margaret create her ‘intoxicating’ designs from a Fête champêtre to summer cocktails to Champagne. Click on the ‘photo’s for just a small sip!

At our June meeting we were treated to a wonderful demonstration by Lieneke . Trained in Holland, Belgium and Germany and having lived in Norway and now in Wales Lieneke’s designs are inspired by her experiences from her travels. Here are a few pictures of Lieneke’s unique and contemporary designs from her demonstration entitled ” Inspired by a Variety of Cultures”
Lieneke brings an excitement and wonder to her demonstration in that her designs evolve over time so you won’t necessarily see these designs in quite this form the next time that she shares her Inspirations from a Variety of Cultures.
